Eu só pra dizer que te amo

Desde sempre, para sempre.

Uma semente germinou e cresceu

Forte-forte, alto-alto, como Jatobá

E as raízes adentram a terra

Cavando da terra o gôzo da vida

Que alimenta o nosso amor.

Ouvi o som da terra no rio

Do barranco o canto manso

Da corredeira a nos levar

Cachoeira, palmeira à beira

Das águas onde o amor nasceu e voou

Alto-alto, forte-forte, como Jatobá.

Entre o azul do céu

E o calor da terra

Entre folha e raíz

Corre a seiva do nosso amor

Doce esquisito

Fruta única vim

Hear me say that I love you

Since always, and forever.

A seed sprouted and grew

Very strong, very high, like

Jatobá Its roots dug into the earth

Bearing out the joy of life

That nurtures our loving.

I heard the sound of the earth

From the river bank, the mellow song

Of the current taking us

Waterfall, palm-tree-lined pool

From where love came and rose up

Very high, very strong, like Jatobá.

The lushness of our love flows

Between the blue of the sky

And the heat of the earth

Between leaf and root

Strange sweetness Singular fruit

Testimonial

I came into my studio and put on our CD, the WIJSF comp 6 - and enjoyed it in peace and quiet. My heart is full! I loved WIJSF CD 6. The whole CD is musical and a pleasure to listen to, but some real beauties stand out. Tough Love is a nice opening - the sax harmonies are very sensual and haunting. Amarachukwu is simply lovely, especially the voice and the upbeat, endearing arrangement. I really got a kick out of hearing my Jatoba' amidst the music of such inspired women. The last two tracks were phenomenal. Nika Rejto's flute playing on The Crystal Door opens up Heaven's door, and your Sweet Return is a celebration of being human on this Earth. Congratulations, Joan, for the great job. And many thanks for including me in this. One more thing grabbed my attention about the compilation: the lyrics are all about faith, togetherness, forgiveness, and joy. Hallelujah! And I say, leave it to woman to relentlessly and lovingly do the mending this world sorely needs! ~ Maguinha

5. Geetu Unplugged RISE UP OH WOMAN! (5:24)

Come on Woman
Rise up in arms
Have you no desires
Has he no qualms

You keep lying
As low as the ground
Your head bent down
Eyes on the ground

Woman
Don’t be afraid
He’s only a man
With a stronger frame

It’s not about a fight
And not about equal rights
It is about your birthright
And about making a choice

Interlude I

You are a Woman
Whose strength isn’t tapped?
Reach deep within
And let freedom the flow

It’s not about fighting
It’s not about overtaking
It’s about togetherness
That is true happiness

Rise up Woman
Shout if you have to
Loud & clear, pure & clean
Touching the sky

Look for answers
Searching everywhere
Within & without
For that purity there

Realize your worth
You’re God’s gift to earth
You help to create
So recreate your own birth

Interlude II

Times are a-changing
Everything is moving forward
But we are stepping back
Stop it before it’s too late

Come on Woman
Hold your head up high
Your backbone straight
Cradle your girl child

Let her grow rich
With the heritage you provide
Be proud to be a woman
Walking alongside & not behind your man

7. Carol Garrett HOLIDAY FOR LOVE (4:53)

The season is rapidly approaching

People putting on their overcoats

The Snow on the wind in gently resting

Watching the Thanksgiving floats.

The Christians thankful for their Jesus

The Jews are thankful to be Free

Kwanzaa to celebrate "The Brothers",

The Pagans celebrate nature,

And others are somewhere in between.

[Chorus]

But I wonder if they know

If they really know

That we are really just the same?

And I wonder if they share

If they really care

In this season full of special meaning

In this season that should bring us together

In this season that was really meant for love!

The fights continue in Ireland

In Israel, in Egypt, in Iran

Building new bombs for what purpose?

To call God by some other name?

Buddha, Muhammad, Jesus

Adonai, Mother Earth, Father Time

I just wonder why

We fight because of a name?

We hate because of a name?

[Chorus]

And I wonder if they know

If they really know

That we are Very much the same?

And I wonder if they share

If they really care

In this season full of special meaning

In this season that should bring us together

In this season that was really meant for love!

[Bridge]

I wonder if they know

If they really know

We are very just the same?

And I wonder if they share

If they really care

In this season full of special meaning

In this season that should bring us together

In this season that was really meant for love!

[Chorus]

Really meant for love!

Really meant for love!
