Say youre frustrated
After a long day at work
You know you gotta do what you do
But your head and your feet hurt
Baby, let me rub you down
Cook you a nice meal
Kiss you wherever you like
I can improve how you feel

Ooooh, Im your Medicine Woman
And any pain will be eased
Cause I got what you need
Ooooh, Im your Medicine Woman
And any pain will be eased
Cause I got what you need

No Excedrin or Tylenol P.M.
Hell, Im better than all of them
And what Ive got is long overdue
I cant wait to medicate you
Go on, baby, relax your mind
Everything is gonna be alright
Cause you know, Big Daddy,
I keep your medicine tight

Ooooh, Im your Medicine Woman
And any pain will be eased
Cause I got what you need
Ooooh, Im your Medicine Woman
And any pain will be eased
Cause I got what you need

And you dont have to do nothing, Daddy
Cause I am (im ma) sho nuff gonna do something, Daddy,
If you need me to ride it
Or just ease up beside it
Just let me know
Either way it go

Ooooh, Im your Medicine Woman
And any pain will be eased
Cause I got what you need
Ooooh, Im your Medicine Woman
And any pain will be eased
Cause I got what you need

2. Mimi Johnson Give Me Some Time (3:51)
Written and Produced by Michelle Serrano Johnson (Mimi Johnson.net) for Caustic Ent Group - ANVEROB PUBLISHING 2009 (ASCAP)

If you give me some time
I will make you mine
You are so divine, you make me shine
And every time I-m with you, my heart starts racing ooohhhh
Ooohh Ooohh

Every day I think of you
Known you since 1999 its true
Since the first time I caught a glance of you
Tall, dark, chocolate fine ooooooooooohhhhhhh
I would love to take you to a paradise
Hold you in my arms make everything alright
Though we-ve been friends for a long, long time
Hopeful one day that I make you mine

If you give me some time
I-ll make you mine
You are so divine, you make me shine
And every time I-m with you, my heart starts racing ooohhhh
Ooohh Ooohh
If you give me some time
I-ll make you mine
You are so divine, you make me shine
And every time I-m with you, my heart starts racing ooohhhh
Ooohh Ooohh

I cant help this feeling that I got for you
And your music shows that your heart is true
I will wait forever til eternity
Just to hear those three words from you to me
I LOVE YOU
Wrap you in my soul and give you all my love
God has sent your precious life from above
I cant think of anything I-d rather do
Then to go platinum to the Grammys with you

So If you give me some time
I-ll make you mine
You are so divine, you make me shine
And every time I-m with you, my heart starts racing ooohhhh
Ooohh Ooohh
If you give me some time
I-ll make you mine
You are so divine, you make me shine
And every time I-m with you, my heart starts racing ooohhhh
Ooohh Ooohh

3. LeNora Jaye Living For Today (4:11) 2006 BMI
Album: The Story
Composer: Angela Johnson, Roslyn LeNora Jackson
Copyright Year: 2010
Label: Fourth Child Records
Publisher: SESAC (LeNora Jaye Ent.) & ASCAP (Angela Johnson Music)

Troubles had me down
No happiness around
I couldnt see how I would get through the pain
Everything felt wrong
My eyes were filled with tears
No words of comfort for my broken heart to hear

I know how hard it is to change
But it's just as hard to stay the same
And I worked on through it

Had to find my way
Lost in the worries of tomorrow
And all the pain of yesterday

Had to find my way
I'm in a better place
And I'm living for today

When I reflect on how I came to feel so low
The love I have inside of me would not let go
Conquered all my fears
And brought me to a place where I could find the strength
to lift me out the darkest space

I know how hard it is to change
But it's just as hard to stay the same
And I worked on through it

Had to find my way
Lost in the worries of tomorrow
And all the pain of yesterday

Had to find my way
I'm in a better place
And I'm living for today

In every single way
I'm living, living, living for today
Through all of my troubles had to find my own way
And I'm living for today

Had to find my way
Lost in the worries of tomorrow
And all the pain of yesterday

Had to find my way
I'm in a better place
And I'm living for today

Its still a soul song. Its still a soul song.
Its still a soul song. Its still a soul song.
Its still a soul song. Its still a soul song.
Its still a soul song. Its still a soul song.
Bebop off beat with sweet jingles
Hip hop cold beats and street lingo
Conductor pace set big band on time
DJ MC hype man gone shine
From Staceys to shell toes
Straight As to dope rhymes
Kool Herc to King Cole
Ice Tea to Eckstein
Player Daddyo
Break beats broken time
Pork pies and kango
Whodini to Earl Hines
Uptown Harlem at Mintons in Manhattan
Is where the cats would improvise while other cats were scattin
Then it moved downtown where upper classes hung out
To listen to the hep cats talkin that jazz
And in the fifties the lingo crossed the water
To Berlin and to Paree where a Barons daughter
Understood the story spoken in all blue notes
Fast notes, hot notes, soundin like some new notes
The music was a smash hit and such a sensation
It traveled round the world receiving thunderous ovations
It soon became a language that everyone could dig
Because the beat is so hip when theyre talkin that jazz
At 7, I discovered I was imitating Ella
And making sounds like Hendricks, boy, was he a swingin fella
By 17, I dreamt of singing with my own band
And talkin that jazz in far exotic lands
Then it finally happened, I vacated Manhattan
And took a trip to Europe where all the cats were scattin
I said, Arrivederci to my friends in the city
And, Comment cest va, a mes amis nouveaux en France
It soon became apparent that language was a must
I had to talk to people. Boy, did I feel like a clutz.
But they could understand me cause I could talk that jazz
And life on Earth was really not so bad
And now I go a travlin, a singin and a croonin
A bluesin and a croonin, happy as a loonin
To propogate the music, I make the razzmatazz
Im walkin and a squawkin and a talkin that jazz

LYRICS:

Stop.
Just take a look around
And be observant to what you see
So much unhappiness and insecurity
We ve moved away, somehow
From peace and harmony

Because we dont

Stop.
To help our fellow man
We do what only will work for us
Centered in our own world, failing to do what we must
So we create these fears
And feelings of mistrust

Cant - we - all

Just take some time
Own what went wrong
Give of ourselves
Take what is weak - make it strong
Be thinking about the lives still to come
Because this worlds their only one

We ve got to learn to do whats right
To take a stand and

Change the life
Try.
To end the loneliness
The days and nights that some spend alone
Maybe we try instead to help them find a happy home
To teach the children how
Compassion should be shown

If - we - just

Share a caring vibe
Help hearts to heal
Bring out the hope
That caring can reveal
Keep looking to the stars up above
You ll find the love

The love that starts from the inside
The love will help to
Change the life

If you wanna make a change
You gotta live it every day
You can always find a way to change the life
If you want the world to feel it
You gotta get up with the spirit
Dont try to run
Dont try to hide
Just make a way
And strive to
CHANGE THE LIFE

When I saw you walkin down the street
Ooh baby you look so sweet
I couldnt pass you by
I had to speak
Its springtime. Its springtime

I asked for your number
You said its cool
I may seem forward
But Im no fool
I couldnt pass you by
I had to speak

Its springtime, Its springtime
Youre such a nice guy
You have some style
Your the kind of guy
That makes me smile
We could fall in love
After a while

Its springtime, Its springtime
This is a perfect fantasy
We could sit and talk under a tree
We could fall in love after a while
Its springtime, Its springtime
