Amanda Sedgwick - Born and educated in Sweden, Amanda has been heard in many places throughout the world. In 1996, she she released her first album, ”Volt” (Caprice Records). During her career Amanda has played and toured with many of Sweden's most renowned musicians as well as with several international artists: Walter Booker, Philip Harper, Ingrid Jensen, Johnny O´Neal, Kermit Walker. Between the years 2000 and 2003 Amanda lived and worked in the Netherlands, where she appeared at several major festivals. In 2004 Amanda released her second solo album on Touché Music, entitled ”Reunion”. The record features Philip Harper on trumpet and Amanda's compositions. Between the years 2004 and 2006 Amanda lived in Atlanta, GA, where she played and taught saxophone at Morehouse College.

Amanda´s new album, "Delightness", (Touché Music) featuring Amanda Sedgwick Quartet and Septet, was released on June 8. In October, Amanda Sedgwick Quartet will begin a tour of  Sweden with trumpet player Jeremy Pelt.

Currently, Amanda resides in Stockholm, Sweden. She is the President of Women in Jazz South Florida, Inc. (2011-2012)
