The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for two tickets to Rome on June 23, 2011. Our organization is an International Honor Committee member of Donne in Musica in Rome and Fiuggi, Italy. Through that affiliation, we created a liaison between Lauderhill, FL and Fiuggi, Italy for a Sister City twinning. Mayor Richard Kaplan has been invited by Mayor Fabrizio Martini to visit Fiuggi in June and two of us will be part of his delegation to discuss the twinning and a cultural exchange in 2012-2013, once the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center is built. This partnership will benefit the cultural and business community in Broward County and South Florida.

Thank you,
Joan Cartwright, E.D.

Hi Deborah and Rick,

I enjoyed working with Rick on the Jazz For Peace benefit at Nighttown this past Saturday. I appreciate that you chose our venue for the show. The show went off fine, and I appreciate how hard Rick is working and admire his commitment to supporting social causes. I applaud both of you for what you are doing. Keep up the good work!

Please let me know if Rick is traveling out this way again.

All the best,
